As Manager of Technical Support, you will have the responsibility to manage a highly skilled technical support team in our organisation. You will work closely with our Technical Support Management team including the Sr. Managers of Technical Support, DC Head of Technical Support to ensure that Virtualization, Cloud, Windows, AD, DNS, Physical Servers, Backup/Storage overall superior service and support to our company.
Core Skills -Windows 2k3/2k8/2k12/ VM Ware 6.0 / 6.5 / EMC/HP Storage/ AWS / AZURE / Physical Servers.
Skill level: VMware-L3 and above, Wintel L2, Storage L2, Cloud L2 and above Relevant industry certification MCP / MCSE/VCP6 DCV
Provide superior technical support and service for all Technical Stuff.
Manage and develop the support teams, including hiring, professional development and proactive project work.
Design, develop, and implement processes, systems, and technology to support and enhance the technical support function, including workflow and incident management.
Develop and implement practices that measure the effectiveness and performance of the Technical Support Function.
Lead and/ or being involved in New Projects.
Collaborate with other team members and management to deliver customized and scalable software/hardware solutions.
Very good experience in VMware Upgrades / Implementation, specifically from 5.5 to 6.X
Experience with PowerShell / PowerCLI scripting
Physical to Virtual(P2V)/Virtual to Virtual (V2V) migration.
Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere, HA, v-Motion, Snapshot, DRS etc.
ESXI command base troubleshooting.
Expert Knowledge of the VMware vCloud suite and other modules.
VMware patch installation using command line/VUM.
Experience in working with FC SAN is essential. Added advantage knowledge on ISCSI,NAS.
Advance Level knowledge of Switching and vlan, NIC Teaming, Security policies.
Experience in VMware Guests, Templates, P2V, Capacity Planner, VMotion, DRS, etc
Basic working knowledge of SAN.
Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues.
Storage - Good Knowledge in HP 3PAR, EMC VNX, Nimble.
Backup - Good knowledge in Veeam, Comvault, Backup Exec.
Windows - Good Knowledge of windows 2008,2012, Windows Clustering, SFTP, AD, GPO, DNS.
Troubleshoot and optimize Microsoft infrastructure including but not limited to Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, File and Print Services, Windows Clustering, SFTP, DFS, Certificate Services, and Remote Desktop Services.
Windows Patching Management.
Relevant years of experience in the industry with a minimum of 14 years in technical support management, including people management.
Background in the development and management of onsite support groups and 24x7 support operations.
Salary: INR 11,00,000 - 12,00,000 PA.
